Dude, you got a Chubby!

After much to-ing and fro-ing and a good deal of walking we settled on buying a van from the good people at Travellers Autobarn who seemed to offer the most comprehensive package along with a 50% buy back scheme for when we come to leave Australia (or we can sell it privately and apparently make almost what we bought it for in the first place!?).

Whilst our van was being service, cleaned and prep'd for sale we took the opportunity to get a bargain on a rental for a few nights in order for us to venture up the coast to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. For $10 a day (roughly a £5) we got a nearly new "chubby" - basically a mitsubushi van with seat and a table that converts to a bed. It's quite a bit smaller than the model we've decided to buy but should give us a good insight into this camping malarchy (it's all new to me <Mark>.
